Adagio Collection has been designing and manufacturing water features since 2000. Adagio is proud of the one of a kind uniqueness that each of our water features represents. The slate used is mined from a quarry in India then directly imported and finished by Adagio. Alpha Systems, the factory that fabricates the metal portion of each feature has an impressive track record for over 30 years of precision and decorative manufacturing, giftware production, and light fixture fabrication.

Origin Of The Stone In Adagio Fountains

All our stones are specially quarried and shipped from India. The stones of India are renowned worldwide for their beauty and elegance. Every stone is hand cut and its edges chiseled to perfection making each Adagio Collection fountain a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. Because no two stones are alike, your fountain is an original. Therefore, your stone will vary in color, texture, and thickness (up to a quarter inch in thickness) compared to the stones seen in our showroom and brochure. The black stone and green stone have some variation of shade; however, the most dramatic difference is seen in the remarkable multi-color stone, which varies in its range of greens, reds, golds, and rusts.

Adagio Metal Hoods And Trays

All our copper components are fashioned from high-grade copper mined from Kennecott Copper Mine located near Salt Lake City, Utah. The unique marble-like finish is burned onto the copper one piece at a time by skilled artisans. A clear coat finish is then applied to the metal to give it a high gloss finish as well as to protect the copper from naturally turning green over time. However, If you would like the copper to have a natural patina look, please specify this in your custom order and we will not apply the clear coat finish to the copper.

About Joseph C. McGowan

As an artist, Joseph McGowan draws his inspiration from the force and physics of nature. His water sculpture pieces seek to capture the mystery of these forces by creating an illusion in the viewer’s mind that they are defying natural laws. The titles of McGowan’s pieces are suggestive of this focus: Aurora Borealis, Evolution, Orion or Tides of Eternity, among others.
McGowan works with acrylic, natural stone, and metal mediums in conjunction with fiber optics and special effects lighting. This combination of old world craftsmanship and modern technology is what gives McGowan’s sculptures their unique appeal. He takes raw materials and hand fabricates every piece of the sculpture, meticulously sanding and shaping it to form its seamless lines. About Nayer Kazemi

Nayer studied fine arts in Persia at Tehran University as well as California State University, Los Angeles, and the Art Center College of Design, Pasadena. She had pursued art as her passion since childhood and has been recognized in many fine arts competitions and exhibits in selected galleries. Nayer believes water is an important part of our existence... "98% of the human body is composed of water, 3/4 of our planet is covered by water. Water is in the soil, the air. Water is in every part of nature...seeing, feeling and hearing the sound of water brings peace and tranquility to many aspects of our lives."
